This folder holds drafts of the Japanese Latin American (J.L.A.) Commission Bill and includes notes on items that needed to be corrected, edited, or addressed in order to complete the bill. There are also references to court cases that were to be used as reference in the creation of the bill, concerns of the Commission, and updates on the case. There are also relevant notes to the bill and thoughts on the direction of the bill, along with a list of memos related to Latin American Japanese internment. A list of members who backed the bill are noted, as well as the actions of those involved in various aspects of completing the bill and notes from staff briefings that show the process of writing the J.L.A. bill.
