Transactions of the Royal Hawaiian Agricultural Society

The Royal Hawaiian Agricultural Society was formally established in 1851. However, a preliminary meeting was held in April 1850 and the first “Agricultural Convention” was held that August. The Transactions begins publication with the 1850 convention and continued to be published through 1856. During these years, drought and economic depression impacted agriculture in the Kingdom and, as a result, the Society was disbanded in 1857.
