According to the bylaws, the goals of HSPA included “the improvement of the sugar industry, the support of an experimental station and laboratory, the maintenance of a sufficient supply of labor, and the development of agriculture in general.”
The Hawaiian Planter’s Monthly was published from 1895 through 1909. It was subsequently published as the Hawaiian Planters’ Record which ceased publication in 1991.
