dc.description Memorandum to McCloy to accompany a draft letter for Secretary Stimson to sign and send to the House Majority Leader in response to his letter of concern regarding the "Japanese Problem" in Hawaii. This memorandum includes that on 28 May 1942 a provisional battalion of officers and soldiers of Japanese ancestry in Hawaii was to be formed and sent to Camp McCoy, WI. This action has been completed as of this date. Note: the final letter than Stimson signed did not include this information.
