Description

A scale of 880 yards, or 1/2 a mile. 1 map ; 17 x 33 cm, on sheet 29 x 37 cm. Contains dedication from John Gwynn to the Lord Mayor, Court of Aldermen, and Common Council of the City of London, below title. Includes two panels with notes on Wren's proposal at top left and right, and an explanation to the plan at the bottom portion of plate. Shading indicates area destroyed in Great Fire. Version reduced from Wren's original. Publication statement reads: Publish'd, October 3d 1749, & Sold by the Proprietors at Palladio's Head in Long Acre.
