dc.description.abstractThis paper provides a phonological and phonetic description of a variety of the Khang language spoken in Nam Mu village, Phinh Sang commune, Tuan Giao district, Dien Bien province (and also Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau provinces). It is an under-described Palaungic language of Vietnam. The language is largely monosyllabic and has a complex tonal system. An appendix of over 900 lexical items is included.
