dc.description.abstract<p>At the <em>Rapa Nui Rendezvous</em> in Laramie, Wyoming in August of 1993, there were no less than three speakers who gave lectures on their investigations regarding the transport of <em>moai</em> in an erect position from the quarry at Rano Raraku to the <em>ahu</em> where they were to be placed.</p>
