This folder contains clippings related to Hawaiian land claims, hardships for Hawaiian people, and complaints regarding land ownership. There are also articles related to traditional Hawaiian vs. Western land ownership ideas, a short history of land ownership in Hawai'i prior to Western contact, recommendations for land claim problems, zoning changes and revenue created from lands with Hawaiian ownership. There are also other articles on the conflict between state and federal government views on Hawaiian home lands, incorporating Hawaiian traditions and culture into Hawaiian education and health practices, and restoration of Hawaiian places. Other topics covered in the articles are Hawaiian youth gangs, problems on the Wai'anae Coast, and approaches to solving those problems in the community.
