dc.description This folder holds materials related to military use of Kaho'olawe. There is information on various kinds of combined arms training conducted on Kaho'olawe, as well as maps and fact sheets on use of live ordnance there, articles that recount disputes between the Navy and locals from Maui over military use of ordnance, a booklet on the economic and military significance of Kaho'olawe, and short pieces on the history of Kaho'olawe as a penal colony. There are also legislative documents relating to the decontamination of Kaho'olawe, as well as the determination of Kaho'olawe as a historic place and an archaeological district.
