dc.description.abstract This paper presents a brief history of the Association for Social Anthropology in Oceania (ASAO) Website from its creation by Alan Howard in 1997 up until the redesign of the site in 2015 by Zakea Boeger. The evolution of the site is presented in chronological order, beginning with the initial conception guiding its construction, the progressive addition of features over the years, and the implication for a shift from a university-based to a commercial server. Also included is a table presenting statistics concerning the number of visitors to the site from 2001 to the end of 2015. en_US
