Abstract

Description

NOT OCRed. This folder holds correspondence between the Protect Kaho'olawe 'Ohana (P.K.O.), the U.S. Navy, and Senator Inouye, and legislative drafts on restoration of Kaho'olawe. These letters include information about the Makahiki ceremony being held on Kaho'olawe, negotiations between the Navy and the P.K.O. on a cultural management plan, and perspectives on the issue of the restoration of Kaho'olawe. There are also rebuttals of myths on Kaho'olawe and facts that dismiss the myths, and information on studies that had been conducted by NOAA on the regrowth of coral.
