This folder contains form letters written by Daniel K. Inouye to be sent to election winners from the Democratic Party, letters produced by the Daniel K. Inouye Campaign Committee to be distributed to the various support bases (Relatives, Friends, Fellow Veterans), a letter from Daniel K. Inouye announcing his decision not to seek a Senate seat, but instead to run for a seat in the United States House of Representatives, a form letter thanking supporters following his election to the House, a letter of invitation to a cocktail party hosted by the Inouye's, drafts of letters with handwritten changes to the original announcement of Inouye's bid for the United States Senate, a holiday note on official letterhead from Dan and Maggie Inouye, and Information Bulletin about Daniel K. Inouye, Dan K. Inouye Campaign Instructions, correspondence between members of the campaign committee, a copy of the "Code of Fair Campaign Practices," and other correspondence and documents from the Fair Campaign Practices Committee, Inc.
