This folder contains a speech delivered by Senator Inouye to the Hawai'i Restaurant Association. In this speech Inouye recognizes the restaurant industry as a large part of the tourism industry, he also talks about the right to insist that government action taken should not place special burdens on the restaurant industry. Inouye looks at the deficit faced by Congress and discusses possible tax legislation that could affect the restaurant industry. He then mentions some problems relating to tipping and not paying taxes. Another topic covered in this speech is beneficial legislation for tourism, which affects the restaurant industry in Hawai'i.
