Letter from Colonel William P. Scobey, Executive to Assistant Secretary of War, to Dr. T. G. Ishimaru at Poston General Hospital in response to a letter from Dr. Ishimaru. Scobey states that the Japanese-American Combat Team was intended to give the Nisei a chance to prove their loyalty, but he is disappointed by the low volunteer rate.
