Abstract
Description
Letter written to enclose an account of Nisei soldiers operating with the US Army in the Pacific Theater, and requesting the Interior Department relax some existing restrictions on relocation of persons of Japanese ancestry. Note: The attached document is not related to the Pacific Theater, however: it is on a revealing report of 388 letters written by members of the 100th Infantry Battalion while in training at Camp Shelby. Instead, it appears that item 18 in this folder ("Memorandum for the Assistant Secretary of War from the Assistant Chief of Staff, Military Intelligence Division G-2 dated June 11, 1944 ...") is the document that should have been attached to this one.
