This folder contains a letter of appreciation for participation in the first-ever White House Conference on Travel and Tourism (WHCTT) from Greg Farmer to Daniel K. Inouye, USS. It also contains a draft speech from the Senior Senator of the State of Hawai'i. Issues discussed in his speech include promoting and facilitating travel to the U.S. as the international destination of choice, introducing a Visa Waiver Pilot Program for an easier process for international visitors, U.S. concerns over border security, the Federal customs and immigration process, and multilingual traveler information signage.
