dcterms.abstractHPS offered extensive programming in the 2nd Ka ʻAha Hula ʻO Hālauaola World Conference on Hula on Maui. This program highlighted the legacy of Kumu George Holokai and started with a talk-story session with Uncle and two of his haumāna, Rich Pedrina and Puakea Nogelmeier, and ended with a workshop where Uncle got everyone up to learn one of his classic hula, Papakōlea. This Finding Aid covers the talk-story portion of the gathering.
