dc.description.abstract During the past two years, we have worked with hundreds of educators and students from around the islands and beyond to promote literacy, develop skills to enable access and retrieval of culturally-relevant information in support of educational and personal goals, and increase understanding of Hawaiian knowledge systems and material available in databases (e.g. Ulukau, Papakilo, Kīpuka, Avakonohiki, Hula Preservation Society, ‘Ulu‘Ulu, and Huapala). Participants in this session will have opportunities to experience content from these sessions to support curriculum planning, genealogy research, language study, and other academic areas. We will also share a summary of the project, which was generously supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
