This workshop will guide participants through various techniques to promote active learning in a virtual or in-person setting. Anyone involved in learning and teaching will leave the workshop with a refreshed outlook to approach the future of library instruction. We will engage our audience through multiple hands-on activities and focus on student-centered learning. Examples include: self-evaluating and reflecting on current instruction curriculum; using Bloom's Taxonomy to create learning outcomes for library instruction that are learner-centered; practicing engaging learning strategies such as Pair/Share, using Opinion Polls, Ranking and Rating to engage students in the learning process, Cold Calling as a tool for increased feedback and interaction.en_US
